Job Description
  • Possess ability to read, interpret, troubleshoot, and apply information derived from electrical schematics.
  • Possess ability to interpret mechanical drawings as it applies to verifying product compliance to specifications during repairs and maintenance. Requires ability to operate basic measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, etc.
  • Ability to learn new skills via hands-on training and via mentorship from senior staff is required. On the Job training is the primary learning method for system specific diagnosis and repairs.
  • Position can require some work on SUBSAFE components so any previous experience working within the Navy’s SUBSAFE program is a plus.
  • Desire an understanding of basic cable building, repairs, and troubleshooting skills to MIL-Spec requirements.
  • Desire knowledge in operations of electronic test equipment such as multimeters, meggers, RF analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Former military electronics background highly desirable for this position.
  • Basic computer skills required. Background with Linux based operating systems and/or basic programming skills a plus.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools in the disassembly, repair, and re-assembly of various components and systems required.
  • Must be able to work within diversely experienced teams of people moving towards common goals. Once experience is attained must also be competent/confident to take on high profile troubleshooting in solo environments.
  • Minimum Secret Clearance or ability to attain Secret Clearance required.

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.

8+ years of related experience
