What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineering Technician. For a cross functional team between CMM and CNC. The Role may require working in CMM and/or working on CNC as required by business needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate CMM and CNC equipment
  • Operate Faro Arm with Probing and Scanning Head
  • Perform first piece inspections and/or first run for production process proofing
  • Perform, assess, and debug gauge repeatability and reproducibility
  • Perform daily calibration and verification of all CMM and supporting equipment
  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance of production CNC Fixtures
  • Setup and maintain CNC production cutting tools
  • Starting and Re-Starting of production CNC machines after maintenance activities
  • Changing production CNC fixtures to meet production build plans
  • Ensuring that the correct CNC program is running on the CNC machine.
  • Debug and repair production CNC fixtures
  • Work with Production Leads and Engineering in debugging issues machining processes
  • Recover and trouble shoot automation equipment attached to CNC equipment.
What You’ll Bring
  • Good understanding of GD&T
  • Understanding of CMM or CNC programming software
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
