Job description

General Summary

Prepare yearly section plan (including expense and manpower plan) and manage follow-up activities to achieve plan. Manage manpower by providing appropriate tools, making job assignments, and setting specific goals for team member growth. Educate and train team members in areas of policy, reporting, controls, and objectives (i.e. company and section). Evaluate and develop subordinate level. Manage project schedule and milestones.


Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze and approve process design
  • Monitor asset and engineering budgets
  • Assist in preparation of asset presentation
  • Evaluate effects of production processes
  • Ensure manpower coverage for various projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan


Skills & Abilities Required

  • Effective written and verbal communication to both internal and external contacts
  • Thorough knowledge of products and processes within the company
  • Basic knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Understanding of math (trigonometry and geometry)
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical and business documents
  • Ability to convey messages and directions clearly
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong problem solving and planning skills


Minimum Level of Preparation & Training Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related work experience is required
