As an EMT -Basic ( EMT-B) in the ER, you will provide Basic and Intermediate Life Support in a hospital Emergency Department setting.

At Presbyterian Espanola Hospital, you'll join a supportive, dynamic, proactive, and collaborative team in the beautiful northern New Mexico location of Espanola Valley. Just north of Santa Fe, Espanola is nestled between the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges and the meeting points of three rivers; the Rio Grande, the Rio Chama and the Rio Santa Cruz.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • NM EMT-I License
  • New Mexico driver's license
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a driving record insurable per PHS policy are required.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains positive communications and collaboration with Emergency Department physicians and staff regarding the definitive therapy administered to patients being delivered for emergency care at their facility. Documents and maintains an informative and accurate medical record by initiating charges for each patient treated, using ChartWriter 2000.
  • Assists in cleaning and maintaining emergency supplies and equipment for the department. Assists in providing preventive and/or routine maintenance to emergency vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Assists in the instruction of Emergency Medical Services students to provide for positive work-related experiences; participates in and endorses the established Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) guest relations program.

Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each offer. Minimum Offer: USD $15.00/Hr. Maximum Offer: USD $20.17/Hr.
