Position Summary/Position

With a proven track record in project/program management, training development/facilitation, and effective communication skills, IEHP’s Emergency Planning & Communications Administrator will be responsible for overseeing all planning, training, and communication requirements for the Business Continuity department. This includes establishing partnerships with key stakeholders to develop, maintain and lead training initiatives and requirements for various levels of IEHP leadership and internal departments.
This position will primarily be charged with managing the department’s Training Plan and Communication Strategy. This includes ensuring new hires are formally introduced to all Business Continuity Program requirements and how IEHP prepares for and effectively responds to emergencies, enhancing Team Member readiness at home and in the workplace through department trainings and various preparedness activities and initiatives; and ensuring leaders, response Team Members and executives are kept abreast of their roles and responsibilities during plan activations and/or crisis through routine training and drilling. Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

1. Lead and maintain department’s emergency training operational plan and communication strategy to ensure all IEHP Team Members and Leaders understand their roles and responsibilities during emergencies and plan activations.
2. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance training plan by creatively leveraging existing resources and/or exploring innovative methods to maintain, optimize, and deliver training content.
3. Partner with Learning and Development team to develop and update training content, confirm best method of delivery (in-person, PowerPoint, e-Learning), and project plan to ensure successful execution and implementation.
4. Support maintenance of IEHP’s Emergency Management Plan; development and management risk mitigation strategies and update appropriate training content to deliver to intended audiences.
5. Annually coordinate, facilitate, and track all training of IEHP’s Emergency Management Plan for incident response Team Members, executive team and key stakeholders.
6. Annually coordinate, facilitate, and track disaster drills and tabletop exercises to ensure IEHP’s Emergency Management Plan is tested and updated from action items and input from response and executive teams.
7. Annually coordinate, facilitate, and track department level trainings for IEHP Team Members in an effort to enhance overall readiness at home and in the workplace.
8. Document and track all learnings, opportunities and action items identified from all trainings completed and developing project plans to prioritize and effectively implement action items.
9. Prepare and present annual readiness report of Business Continuity Training Plan to appropriate leadership outlining program requirements, deliverables, action items and next steps to ensure plan continues to evolve.
10. Develop and maintain monthly Business Continuity Blog content & lead coordination and facilitation of monthly Lunch-n-Learn activities. Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) Cont Supervisory Responsibilities Leading: Guides Others Experience Qualifications

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in an emergency management role:
  • leading and managing complex tasks/projects independently and collaboratively
  • developing and facilitating training to various leadership levels and broad audiences Preferred Experience
Experience with Incident Command System (ICS), National Incident Management System (NIMS), Incident Action Planning (IAP), Business Continuity and Emergency Management Systems/Applications preferred. Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution required. Preferred Education

Master’s degree from accredited institution preferred. Professional Certification Professional Licenses Drivers License Required Yes, must have a valid California Driver's license and valid automobile insurance. Must qualify and maintain driving record to drive company vehicles based on IEHP insurance standards of no more than three (3) points. Knowledge Requirement

Emergency management, business continuity, risk management, project management, incident command system, incident action planning, hazard vulnerability assessment Skills Requirement

The Emergency Planning & Communications Administrator will be required to travel to all IEHP locations as needed and, if requested, at community events. The Administrator is expected to respond to any alarm or security incidents that occur outside of normal business hours, including nights, weekends and holidays. The Emergency Planning & Communications Administrator will be required to access security systems, including access control and video monitoring systems when requested. A reasonable salary expectation is between $79,809.60 and $101,774.40, based upon experience and internal equity.
