Overview:

As an EMC Engineer working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will be assigned as part of our technical work force to support Naval fleet readiness and ship modernization. You will hone your skills in the engineering field of study assigned. You will be expected to regularly practice business acumen and perform assigned program tasks in terms of quality, cost control, and achievement of technical, schedule, performance, and contractual objectives. You will have to keep senior and lead staff informed regarding program status and any technical, cost, schedule, or administrative problems within assigned programs. You will have to establish, maintain, and promote good customer relationships; ensure the coordination of work tasks with customer representatives; and ensure customers are informed on status and progress of assigned technical programs.

Responsibilities:
  • This position requires joining our team of engineers to provide Ship Change Document (SCD) preparation, direct fleet support, and configuration management for the Electromagnetic Mission Assurance Center (EMAC).
  • Provide engineering support to NAVSEA personnel, solving complex problems, and contributing innovative solutions to integration, modernization, and readiness challenges on surface ships.
  • Lab and Field Test Support, Design Configuration and Fabrication, Platform and System Integration, EMC/EMI problem solving and data management, and Systems Engineering
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Science or Technical Discipline
  • 4 years’ experience in a E&S, RDT&E, or S&T experience
  • 3 years’ experience with RDT&E or Integration related to shipboard systems related to warfare systems or electronic systems
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following specific areas: ‐
    • EMI/EMC
    • E3 instructions, standards, policies, and procedures
    • Defense Acquisition Engineering
    • E3/EMI/EMC Testing
    • EMI problem investigation
    • Spectrum, EMC, or RADHAZ Certification
    • EMI/EMC analysis and assessment
    • EMI Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
    • USN Optimized Fleet Response Plan (O‐FRP)
    • EMI Control and Mitigation
    • EMI Control Measure Drawings
    • SEMCIP Technical Assistance Network or E3 Team On-line
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a final DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
