ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWe are accepting applications for a Director of Operations (DOO) to join the elementary school faculty for the 2023-2024 school year. This position is located at Match Community Day (MCD), our elementary school at 50/100/110 Poydras Street. The DOO serves as a member of the school leadership team and reports to the Director of Network Operations.

The DOO is responsible for creating the operational foundations on which an exceptional school is built, and the DOOs day-to-day work maintaining and shaping the school experience for staff, students and families is one of the most important determinants of the schools success. An excellent DOO at Match embodies Matchs values, and demonstrates a thoughtful, solutions-oriented, and continuous improvement mindset about all aspects of the school experience for all stakeholders.The DOO will be responsible for a range of operational functions described below. This is an incredible opportunity for an individual who is excited by the prospect of tackling difficult but rewarding leadership and operational challenges on a daily basis. The salary range for this position is $107,000-132,000.

Salary determination is made based on prior relevant experience. DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe DOOs directly and collaboratively oversee the following functions and related staff: 1. OperationsThe DOO will play a pivotal role in overseeing all activities related to school operations, and ensuring that school operations processes are streamlined and effective. To that end, the Director of Operations will be responsible for: -operational systems and procedures (transportation, lunches);-purchasing and vendor relations;-school calendar, schedules and space;-school technology (copiers, laptops) in conjunction with Matchs IT team;-data reporting in conjunction with Matchs Data Management & Analytics;enrollment in conjunction with Matchs Director of Enrollment;-school buildings and grounds in conjunction with Matchs Facilities Manager; andother operational duties.

2. Team ManagementMCD employs a full-time Operations Fellow, a nurse, two front office managers, and two operations/ lunch assistants, all of whom report directly to the DOO. The DOO will be committed to the development and success of their team.3. Budget Process and SpendingThe DOO, in collaboration with the school principal, will manage the non-salary expenditures budget that meets annual fiscal goals.

Once the budgeting process is complete, the DOO is responsible for tracking spending and making adjustments as necessary throughout the year so that budget requirements are met.- 4. State/Federal ComplianceThe Match Charter Public School, as a charter school, is a heavily monitored school. This includes regular review from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as well as a myriad of rules and regulations regarding teacher licensure, Special Education compliance, English Language Learner compliance, staff training, and student reporting. The DOO, in close coordination with the Match Network Support Office, will manage compliance.Direct Responsibilities Held in Conjunction with the Principal 1.

Parents and CommunityAt Match, we strongly believe in the need to establish partnerships with every one of our families through open communication and relentless relationship building. The DOO will be responsible for building relationships with families as well as leading the Match faculty in this work.2.Strategic PlanningThe DOO will work with the Principal on the strategic planning process for the school. This includes making long-term programmatic choices for academic and extracurricular priorities, setting school culture norms that support the mission and planning investments in physical and technological improvements to the school.3.Staffing and AccountabilityThe DOO works hand in hand with the Principal to decide what necessary duties and functions the school staff must carry out, assign those duties to the appropriate staff members, and coordinate coverage for absent staff members when necessary. Additionally, the DOO and Principal lead the effort to ensure that assigned duties are carried out faithfully and effectively by staff.4.Crisis ManagementThis responsibility is oversight leading to resolution of issues, including student emergencies and legal conflicts.5.

General Leadership and ExcellenceThe DOO will be crucial to the success of the school. As a leadership team member, the DOO will share in the work of leading the organization as a whole.
