Provide high-quality instruction bases on best practices to students with gifted identification
Consults with parents, students, and general education teachers to develop Written Education Plans for all students receiving gifted services
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to plan and evaluate student progress
Collaborate with other Gifted Intervention Specialists in the district
Ensure that the learning process aligns with the district’s written, implemented, and assessed curricula to meet state mandated proficiencies
Develop and maintain a learning environment that stimulates interest, enthusiasm, and inquisitiveness
Collaborate and communicate effectively with parent
Collaborate and communicate effectively with classroom teachers to support an inclusive educational environment
Use student data from formative and summative assessments to plan instruction
Participate in teacher-based teams to analyze data and adapt instruction to positively impact student learning
Be a resource for teachers with gifted students in their classrooms
Participate in ongoing professional development related to gifted education
Attend Project Lead the Way training
Incorporate community partnerships in learning opportunities
