We provide innovative and compassionate services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. We are looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to work in our Residential/Outpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30PM with two days 11:00am - 7:00pm

Location: Paterson NJ (Main Location) Some traveling to program locations, Passaic, Paterson, Paramus and Secaucus)

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the EMR Manager, information technology, position oversees the technical application design, construction and implementation of assigned accounts and projects. Mentor staff and foster a learning and growth environment. The EMR Manager will cooperate with agency’s administration and/or Division and DHS staff in any inspection or investigation.

DUTIES

  • Collaborate with developers, quality assurance, production support, and account teams to provide technical direction on systems analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of the solution into production.
  • Document technical requirements, develop and oversee project plans and implement change control procedures.
  • Participate in technical advisory roles, as required.
  • Interact with internal and external customers at the technical level, as required.
  • Ensure effective handoff to operations for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Training and implementation across all S&N programs, to include but not limited to clinical, medical, billing, administrative, etc.
  • Serve as the expert for the EMR system and develops best practices to support each EMR initiative.
  • Reviews all EMR communications and conveys system challenges and solutions in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate efforts to conduct assessments of how current use of the EMR system and identify areas for optimization.
  • Collect and analyzes process and EMR data to initiate, develop and implement business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity, and reduced cost.
  • Develop or enhance educational materials that can assist practice staff in understanding how to best to utilize the EMR system.
  • Assist compliance departments with developing and maintaining thorough and consistent auditing of users and appropriate use of PHI.
  • Assures confidentiality, data privacy and user access and maintains consistency in record keeping and reporting.
  • Ensures the set up and disabling of user access working with management for maintenance of user security roles and profiles.
  • Ensure interfaces and functionality of EMR with external systems and organizations to achieve seamless integration and protection.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of computer systems including database management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate or higher degree in a technical discipline or equivalent. One to two years of experience as a technical project manager or project leader. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective communication and interpersonal relationships with members of staff, supervisory and senior leadership team and Diocesan staff. Must have driver’s license valid in state of NJ and have knowledge of and proficiency with computer programs. The EMR Coordinator must have a physical exam including drug test prior to employment and meet fingerprint requirement and drug test requirements.
