This opportunity is being offered by National Aerospace Solutions, the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. National Aerospace Solutions is a limited liability company comprised of Bechtel National Inc. (as lead company) and Sierra Lobo Inc. with teaming Subcontractors nLogic Inc. and Chugach Federal Solutions Inc. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states. Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization and an important national resource.

AEDC’s mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, ground, and flight test. Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.

I. Job Duties:
Under general supervision, performs Safe, Reliable, and Effective Operations (SREO), installation and maintenance of test/plant equipment/systems. Pursue and obtain all qualifications as assigned and demonstrate satisfactory progress as measured by two quarterly progress assessments based on syllabus completion, body of knowledge testing and tunnel conditions OJT as a PWT Main Drive Operator, 4T Tunnel Operator and 16T Tunnel Operator; start/stop and configure systems (motor/compressor, valves, refrigeration, heaters, driers, coolers) as required; monitor systems health and initiate appropriate response to alarms/trips; coordinate and communicate operations with others as necessary; coordinate with Test/Plant Control Room Operation Engineers, Supervision, Engineering Support and Base Utilities; Directs and performs a wide variety of technical, mechanical, electrical, and manual work in the control room, testing, operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an engineering test facility; checks out and prepares plant and test facility equipment for operations; prepares and installs test articles, removes test articles after tests, installs and maintains facility systems, operates test facility, plant equipment, and test article equipment during the tests, and accomplishes maintenance and servicing work as required to place and keep such equipment in operation; checks test articles and installations prior to tests, assists in tests, operates complex testing equipment, and troubleshoots operating equipment or test articles, and installations in case of malfunction; with a high degree of skill, perform any and all Electrical duties as assigned; use a wide variety of hand and machine tools, powered equipment, complex measuring and testing equipment and other equipment as required to accomplish the operations; train, instruct and direct other craftsmen(s); it is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy. Performs other related work as assigned.
Supplementary Functions: Participation in functional specific safety training.

II. Basic Qualifications:
· Educational Equivalent: Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Specific Knowledge or Experience: Four years of experience, as an electrician. Preference will be given to those holding one or more of the following qualifications, QUAL3003 16T Tunnel Operator, QUAL3004 PWT Main Drive Operator and QUAL3009 4T Tunnel Operator. Progressive experience in the electrician trade may be substituted for the required experience. Ability to skillfully operate and work with a wide variety of hand and machine tools. Ability to read and work from blueprints, diagrams, and sketches. Must be able to direct the work of other craftsmen(s). Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and maintain access to the AEDC local area computer network.
· Licenses/Certifications: Valid State Driver’s License.
· Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directions.
· Current United States Citizenship required.
