Vector Technical's partner in Twinsburg, OH, has been a leading manufacturer of Wire Harness, Cables and Custom Components since 1987. They are looking for a Electrical Engineer to join their team!

1st Shift Monday - Friday
$60k - $75k Depending on experience

General Description of Job: Creation, review and submission of PPAP documentation and samples for customer approval ensuring conformance to company and customer requirements and compliance to regulatory and statutory requirements. Maintain database using AIAG tools and communicate to ensure only customer approved assemblies are produced and ship.

Education, Training, and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment; minimum of three years.

Skills Needed: experience with PPAP, APQP, IMDS, SVHC, must have high level communication and organizational skills, ability to multitask without affecting accuracy, read/interpret drawings, diagrams, prints, excellent math & understanding of electrical wiring principles, Microsoft Office computer skills, measurement tools (rulers, micrometer, and calipers).

Physical Demands: An employee performing the regular duties of this job is regularly required to lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds intermittently and bend, squat, stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must have knowledge & ability to comply with ISO, IPC, UL, CSA standards as it pertains to their work.
  • Will head-up product launches or improvement projects inclusive of all controls required; monitor the process, relevant documentation, verification & capability studies required to ensure that jobs run in accordance with Quality standards.
  • Will create, review, analyze, coordinate and / or process all data related to the PPAP processes of new and revised products in an organized manner (inclusive of but not limited to: layouts, control plans, PFMEA, process flow, capability studies and / or inspection instructions)
  • Coordinate & Communicate with customers, internal departments & suppliers to ensure requirements for any customer mandated quality initiatives related to the PPAP process are met.
  • Maintain Database for product launch, PPAP submission and / or customer approvals communicating issues, submissions or approval status in a timely manner to ensure quality processing, on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform Inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished products according to defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical or electrical measurements, as necessary. Rework or reject subassemblies or finished goods as required.
  • This employee may be required to perform other duties as required.
