Job Summary:

As a Clerk at Clean Pups, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the self-service dog wash facility. You will provide assistance and support to customers utilizing the facility and maintain a clean and safe environment for both dogs and owners. Your friendly demeanor and knowledge of dog care will help create a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Assistance: Greet customers, answer inquiries, and provide guidance on the self-service dog wash process. Assist customers in using the equipment, such as the dog wash stations, shampoo, dryer, and other tools. Provide recommendations on appropriate grooming products based on customer needs.
• Clerk Washes: Willingness to be trained on and help with clerk washes where the clerk can wash pups by appointment only.
• Facility Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the self-service dog wash facility to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and safety. Clean and sanitize dog wash stations, tubs, grooming tools, and other equipment after each use. Restock supplies such as shampoos, conditioners, towels, and waste disposal bags as needed.
• Cash Handling and Record Keeping: Handle cash and electronic transactions for self-service dog wash usage.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Offer advice and tips on dog grooming and hygiene, including appropriate products and techniques.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety rules and regulations to ensure a secure environment for customers and their dogs. Monitor dog behavior during washes and intervene if necessary to prevent any harm or disruption. Adhere to local regulations and policies related to pet hygiene and cleanliness.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including management and grooming staff, to ensure the overall success of the self-service dog wash. Communicate effectively to ensure seamless operations, share customer feedback, and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 18 Years or older.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a retail or pet-related environment.
• Knowledge and passion for dogs, including familiarity with dog breeds, grooming techniques, and basic health and hygiene practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers of various backgrounds and handle inquiries effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift moderate-weight objects (e.g., pups).
• Basic computer skills for cash handling and record keeping purposes.
