Position Summary:
Responsible for all on-site receiving operations, ensuring proper controls are in place and items are delivered accurately and expeditiously.

Orlando Health is a 3,200-bed system that includes 15 wholly-owned hospitals and emergency departments; rehabilitation services, cancer institutes, heart institutes, imaging and laboratory services, wound care centers, physician offices for adults and pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, an in-patient behavioral health facility, home healthcare services in partnership with LHC Group, and urgent care centers in partnership with CareSpot Urgent Care. Nearly 4,200 physicians, representing more than 80 medical specialties and subspecialties have privileges across the Orlando Health system, which employs nearly 22,000 team members. Areas of clinical excellence are orthopedics, heart and vascular, cancer care, neurosciences, surgery, pediatric specialties, neonatology, women’s health and trauma.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
  • Monitors and maintains constant truck flow and supply deliveries daily to avoid backup of deliveries.
  • Assists drivers to ensure proper parking procedures are followed.
  • Coordinates activities on the dock including showing drivers, if needed, where departments and/or customers are located
throughout the facility.
  • Ensures proper equipment is utilized by drivers as needed.
  • Serves as primary liaison for receiving issues to the Corporate Central Supply Supervisor.
  • Receives incoming products (materials, supplies, equipment) and compares actual delivered product (vendor catalog #, unit of
measure, quantity shipped) to packing slip information to purchase order to verify accuracy according to corporate policy.
  • Inspects shipments for damage and defects.
  • Utilizes automated system to receive al PO receipts.
  • Responsible for handling all vendor returns which includes obtaining an RGA#, and doing the necessary credit in the automated
system (site specific).
  • Coordinates with the purchasing department the delivery of Capital Equipment and/or Medical Surgical supplies including
tissue, biological, implants and medications.
  • Assists with the coordination of delivery of products including paperwork according to corporate policy.
  • Ensures the work area is kept clean and neat at all times.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal,
state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions
  • Generates monthly volume and productivity reports.
  • Presents a constant professional image in dress and in communication.
  • Attends in-services and/or meetings as required.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures and value statements.
Qualifications:
Education/Training
High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience
  • Three (3) years experience in receiving dock, shipping and receiving, or related procedures.
  • Familiar with invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading, and freight bills.
  • Familiarity with automated Materials Management systems.
