Since 1984, CommuniCare Health Services has provided superior, comprehensive management services for the development and management of adult living communities. Due to continued growth, we are looking to fill a key position of Division Director of Workforce Management.
Purpose/belief statement:
The Division Director of Workforce Management position exists to provide workforce planning support to the Division for Direct Care Nursing and Culinary, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times. This position must work effectively with team members to ensure that sufficient members of staff are on duty at all times, while focusing on delivering quality resident care.
Job duties & responsibilities
- Directs the facility level Workforce Manager at each location.
- Directs, monitors, trains and assists with the maintenance of the master staffing schedule.
- Communicates continuously with facility administration or designee to ensure coordination of information and maintain accuracy of nursing and culinary schedules.
- Provides support to facilities to follow process to align actual hours to budget and control labor.
- Follow established HPPD budget as designated assignment or work with designated buildings to provide support.
- Ensure that Facility Workforce Manager follows center policies and procedure for use of agency and in-house pool.
- Assist with coverage for open Workforce Manger positions throughout the company.
- Provide companywide training and support as needed.
- Creates and maintains forms necessary for completion of Senior Workforce Manger’s task.
Qualifications & Experience requirement
- A minimum of a BS or BA in Business Administration, Human Resources or any related field
- Prior scheduling/workforce management experience is a must, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Position can be remote. Must be willing to travel for field based required work.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Understanding of resident rights and care procedures and standards, within the scope of workforce management
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Willingness and ability to be flexible in new methods and principles, as well as willingness to incorporate them into existing practices
- Computer literacy and skills including Microsoft software including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Prior Scheduling software experience preferred (OnShift or other scheduling tools)
- Ability to openly communicate at all levels of the organization
