Shift: Monday – Friday, 12:00pm – 8:30pm
Starting Hourly Wage - $33.48/hr
Sign On Bonus - $2500
This highly visible position located at our Harrisonville, MO facility.
General Summary:
The Distribution Maintenance Technician [DMT] will be accountable for repairs and maintenance of distribution equipment, well as some general facility or processing work as needed. Different than the Facility Maintenance Technician, the Distribution Tech will be focused on the entire Distribution Center, pertaining to technical aspects of DC requirements, PM, repairs, etc.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Provides technical support to DC teams during hours of operation. This could include but is not limited to troubleshooting, machine repairs, performing maintenance activities (PM, workorder, improvement projects) as scheduled. Coordinates maintenance activities with needs of the plant and labor availability.
  • Works with maintenance personnel to fabricate and repair equipment that requires welding and cutting.
  • Identifies needed parts, supplies, and repair items.
  • Assures compliance with 5S, housekeeping standards and CI activities.
  • Works with and trains individuals to share knowledge and experience when needed.
  • Uses computer to communicate and follow up as needed (equipment history file, maintenance records, hourly usage trackers, weekly work schedule, etc.).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed:
  • Good oral and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of industrial controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Machine tool experience.
  • Welding experience
  • Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work for long periods of time, under pressure, to produce results.
  • Ability to make decisions and demonstrate ambiguity to change.
Education and Experience Needed:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years proven maintenance experience working within a related manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail.
  • Associate’s degree or vocational certificate preferred.
  • Machine tool experience desired.
  • Prior Forklift experience.
