The Dispatcher position is responsible for ensuring timely meal deliveries to various locations throughout the Dane County Area. This entails making sure that the correct number of meals make it to the correct customer at the correct time. This is a full time, hourly position. The schedule is 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday with very occasional weekends. Starting pay is $15 per hour and then increases to $20 per hour upon completion of a 60 day development period. We will be accepting applications through Friday, January 13th.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main point of contact for Drivers if they have questions about their routes or deliveries.
• Monitor the daily routes and schedules for the Drivers using our catering software program.
• Monitor all meals leaving the meal production facility for timeliness and accuracy.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Communicate with Drivers on an ongoing basis to ensure that their routes are going smoothly.
• Ensure that Drivers are aware of delivery timing and what to do upon arriving at their destination.
• Help troubleshoot and/or reroute drivers when unexpected issues arise.
• Notify customers of any updates to their deliveries (ex. change in ETA).
• Contact customers if there are any questions about the delivery.
• Manage end of day/closing process (vehicle inspection, key return and ensure all vehicles are parked properly).
• Provide periodic feedback to the Distribution Director to improve routes and deliveries.
• Support the meal packaging process as needed.
• Serve as a backup Driver whenever needed.
• Serve as a backup to the Distribution Director as needed.
• Safely operate vehicles, obey all traffic laws and follow safety practices for vehicle operation.
• Provide exceptional customer service to everyone you come in contact with.
• Represent the values of Little John's when interfacing with partners and the public.
• Carry out any additional assignments required to fulfill the mission of Little John's.

Qualifications, Skills & Experiences

• Valid Wisconsin drivers license required
• Comfortable using various software programs
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable with driving a 18 foot box truck
• Ability to multitask with different priorities taking place at the same time
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong time management skills
• Must be able to work in an efficient and professional manner

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently stands, walks and gets in/out of the vehicle. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
