We're looking for Dishwashers/Custodian to join our team!

Come join our café team as a Dishwasher/ Custodian in South Windsor, CT. We have morning, day and evening shifts available on weekdays and weekends.

OVERVIEW: Responsible for helping to maintain a clean, safe and presentable restaurant for all guests and employees throughout each shift, each day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Helps maintain cleanliness in every area of the restaurant, inside and out, each shift, each day including but not limited to: Dining room, bar, lounge, take-out area, kitchen and all walk-in coolers, entrance ways in and out of building, restrooms, break areas, storage areas, garbage storage areas and building exterior.
Practices safe handling and storage of products, cleaning utensils and chemicals in accordance to state law and creates an environment safe and hazard free.
Follows instructions in accordance to use of chemicals and their disposal, equipment and use of wet floor signs at all times.
Properly and safely uses a ladder both inside and outside the building.
Communicates with teammates and managers in a professional manner.
Helps maintain all garbage inside and outside of the restaurant by changing out on a regular basis when full, and keeps area where garbage is stored clean and free of pests.
Examines, labels, and stores incoming food supplies, paper and chemical supplies in storage and refrigeration areas appropriately.
Helps clean and maintain all equipment and small wares used in the kitchen.
Operates a dish machine. Understands how to measure sanitizer and soap levels in a three-bay sink and handles each piece of equipment and small wares safely and properly while washing and storing.
Maintains work areas in a sanitized and orderly manner in compliance with state health and safety regulations.
Complies with all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties.
Reports any health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.
Attends all mandatory store meetings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year in a food preparation position preferred.
