Administrative Technologies (AT) is a rapidly growing, dynamic modern engineering IT team within the Shared Services organization at Providence. AT is responsible for supporting the major non-clinical lines of business at Providence including finance, HR, supply chain, corporate real estate and legal. AT is a strategic partner charted with the task to help Providence digitally transform & optimize its key business processes. The AT team is currently looking for a Director of Engineering Program Management to own the product management aspects of several mission critical IT initiatives in the corporate real estate and supply chain space.

The Director of Engineering Program Management will work with their Engineering counterparts to define and design solutions and services that delight caregivers and add value to Providence. The scope of this role is both broad (across a business unit) and deep (in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to develop and build enterprise wide IS services). Their responsibilities span the life of the solution or service and include collaboration with Engineering and business stakeholders, engaging with caregivers, working with Engineering to define the solution or service, managing the release, establishing the solution/service's identity in the ecosystem, and connecting with and supporting the caregiver community. This role will work in a fast-paced environment, have constant demands for on time delivery, and will require understanding our customer needs, analysis and design, strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. This is a leadership role that includes building, managing, leading, supporting, and inspiring a team of direct reports. This role requires someone to be both a leader and teacher, deal with high degrees of ambiguity, ensure strategic alignment, and effectively drive project delivery. Collaborating with the business, fellow IS organizations, and the project teams will be critical for success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent educ/experience
  • 10 or more years related experience;
  • 8 years leadership experience leading teams in a complex and fast-paced moving environment
  • Extensive experience leading and delivering large and complex programs across multiple teams, creates environment for successful collaboration, effective management of executive stakeholders, leads resolution of complex issues and roadblocks, inspires and leads quality project delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent educ/experience
  • Industry experience in either supply chain, corporate real estate and or risk and compliance.
  • More years of related experience.
  • Experience working in IT in a Healthcare environment.
  • Extensive experience defining IT product strategy, developing technical roadmaps & portfolio management.
  • Ability to demonstrate user research and discovery techniques including, persona development, journey maps, storyboards, wireframes, and scenario development.
  • Experience in key aspects of product lifecycle management and agile development methodologies including Kanban and SCRUM.
  • Must have experience and be able to demonstrate ability to navigate, understand and map complex business processes.
  • Experience leading complex IT initiatives including critical aspects of change management and adoption.
