A Director of Production at Penumbra is an exceptional leader who drives excellence and change across the manufacturing spectrum.

In an atmosphere or rapid growth and innovation, you will play a lead role in production planning, continuous improvement, and staff development.

You will set direction for all production activities and ensure that processes are performed according to current standard operating procedures.

Working cross-functionally with engineering, purchasing, and other departments, you will define and implement the company's policies and goals.

Job responsibilities:
  • Establish and execute manufacturing strategies of Penumbra, Inc.
  • Responsible for evaluating and maintaining adequate departmental staffing levels and facility
requirements to ensure conformance to current Penumbra Quality Systems, GMP’s, ISO standards
and other regulatory requirements.
  • Work with senior management to develop company goals and objectives and manage
departmental groups to ensure fulfillment of those goals and objectives.
  • Participate in Management Review meetings to evaluate overall performance and determine
means for continual improvement of Quality Systems and Structures.
  • Establish and maintain systems for trending production metrics and product quality.
  • Provide leadership and guidance, hiring, coaching and development of operations management and staff.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards and procedures.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience working in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or
Biotech companies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of management experience in Production or Operations
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills

Working Conditions
  • General office, laboratory, and cleanroom environments.
  • Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
  • Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and to use a computer, sitting for extended periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to read, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Annual Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $220,000

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
