Director of Pharmacy Services—Jackson, TN

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Director leads the pharmacy team in the provision of traditional retail pharmacy operations, compounding, and adherence packaging. Provides comprehensive patient care by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders; administering immunizations; counseling patients regarding health care and prescription medication needs; and providing
MTM services. The Director is responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising of the pharmacy team that includes but is not limited to data entry, processing, filling, preparing, compounding, and packaging of prescriptions as well as inventory management. The Director is responsible for maintaining confidential information, documentation, and assigned records as required by Company policies, and local, State, and
Federal guidelines. The Director will collaborate with the executive leadership team in the development and implementation of programs in the pharmacy as well as work with accredited
Colleges of Pharmacy to precept Doctor of Pharmacy candidates.

Requirements, Preferences, and Experience

PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Current licensure in TN is required. Licensure in MS is also preferred. Additional state licensures are a plus. Proficiency in operational pharmacy practice as acquired through at least 3 years of retail and/or compounding pharmacy experience. Experience in long-term care and compounding is preferred. Completion of an
ASHP-accredited post-doctoral Community Pharmacy Residency is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
