Job Description

As a Medical Business Analyst you will play a key role in the delivery of technology and capabilities that power Kite’s Medical Affairs operations, with a focus on MSL Effectiveness, Medical Insights generation and analysis, medical KPI dashboards, and Analytics and Leadership reports.

This role will work closely with the MA operations leadership team, regional operations leads and cross-functional partners to deliver and implement against innovative Medical Affairs strategy and solutions.

The Team

Based out of Kite’s International HQ in London or US remote. You will be an integral and highly visible part of Kite’s global Medical Affairs Operations team, reporting to the Director, Medical Transformation and Innovation.

Your Responsibilities

This will be a varied and evolving role in line with our ongoing growth. The role will operate as a Business Analyst across multiple concurrent project workstreams, at different phases in their lifecycle. You will be comfortable with ambiguity and have experience working in complex environments.

  • Assume Medical Affairs Business Analyst responsibilities through the full lifecycle of multiple critical Medical Affairs Operations projects
  • Partner with internal and external resources to deliver MSL effectiveness, Medical insights generation, medical KPI dashboards and reporting projects.
  • Guide and maintain medical effectiveness and value dashboards. Liaise cross-functionally to ensure dashboards are maintained and valuable to stakeholders.
  • Perform a range of business analysis related disciplines. You will be responsible for shaping business cases, facilitating workshops, defining requirements, maintaining backlogs and supporting testing.
  • Independently develop and maintain high-quality deliverables and documentation on time and in line with agreed standards
  • Support the Medical Operations Team in strategic planning and portfolio management activities
  • Engage and collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between medical affairs and technical teams to enable effective, timely solutions that meet business goals
  • Work with business partners to understand the value of IT solutions and identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Leverage and embed business analysis best practices in all aspects of your work
  • You will need to liaise with teams across multiple locations. Remote working, time-zone flexibility and some limited international travel will be involved.

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate and 2+ years of business analysis, program management or medical affairs experience

OR

Master’s and 8+ years of business analysis, program management or medical affairs experience

OR

Bachelor’s and 10+ years of business analysis, program management or medical affairs experience

OR

Associate and 12+ years of business analysis, program management or medical affairs experience

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 14+ years of business analysis, program management or medical affairs experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced Business Analyst with demonstrated experience of delivering complex, cross-functional programs. In particular, delivering technology solutions to support Medical Affairs teams.
  • Experience within a high-growth Commercial/Medical Biotech / Pharmaceutical organization. Knowledge and understanding of Medical Affairs and related functions in the Biotech industry: e.g. MSL
  • Effectiveness, Medical Insights generation and analysis, medical KPI dashboards, and Analytics and Leadership reports, CRM, Data Analytics
  • Proven Business Analysis discipline and an extensive analytical toolkit
  • An ability to analyze complex business problems in a rigorous way and deliver creative solutions to address them
  • Thorough attention to detail and an ability to understand new concepts quickly
  • Key business applications you will work with include Salesforce, Veeva, Tableau
  • Experience in the delivery of GxP projects
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions to business partners in a clear and meaningful way
  • Ability to operate effectively and impact outcomes in a matrix organization
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, time-management, facilitation, presentation and project management skills
  • Independent, self-motivated, proactive and responsive with a bias for action and results
  • High level of personal integrity consistent with Kite and Gilead’s core values
  • Occasional travel to international Kite / Gilead locations (outside COVID-19 travel restrictions)

The salary range for this position is: $172,890.00 - $223,740.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
