Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for managing several operational facilities (manufacturing and distribution) throughout the US. This would include determining and formulating operational policies and provide overall direction to facility management.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Essential Functions:

  • Contribute and drive a Lean & Continuous Improvement culture
  • Execute and manage various KPI's (financial, quality, delivery, productivity, etc.) to measure plant performance, make recommendations and implement improvement
  • Manage and enforce performance and talent management policy
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA policy/regulations and ensuring facilities adherence
  • Oversee the management of the division safety policy
  • Partner with sales, maintenance and other departments to meet company goals and customer expectations
  • Maintain Budgets and Forecasts as provided
  • Travel 30-40% based upon business need.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration and/or Operations Management or comparable experience.
  • Masters in Operational Excellence a plus.
  • 10+ years in plant and or operations management, in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 5 years in an operational management role.
  • Six Sigma Green belt preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement experience and/or certifications a plus
  • Expected to travel 30-40% to visit facilities, customers, vendors and suppliers.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills as well as possess the ability to be trained in company specific software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage, direct, and motivate a team.
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities
