Reporting to the Campus Director and Campus Director of Education, the Director of Online Education is responsible for planning, coordinating schedules and events; training and leading a small group of faculty; ordering books and supplies; and ensuring that students enrolled in online programs are provided with excellent education that will prepare them for careers in their chosen field. All curriculum is pre-developed. The institution is held to high standards with regard to graduation rates and job placement rates. Student success is literally our success.

WE DELIVER RESULTS TO OUR STUDENTS AND EXTERNAL EMPLOYERS

Core Responsibilities Include (not limited to):
1. Interfaces with the Campus Director in hiring, developing, evaluating of faculty;
2. Orient, monitor, supervise, mentor and assist instructors;
3. Monitor at-risk students and provide follow-up, mentoring and coaching to help them succeed.
4. Ensure that course content is delivered in accordance with school policy;

5. Promote development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards of effective delivery of distance education.

6. Determine in collaboration with faculty chairs, the online, interactive live lectures, and hybrid offerings for class schedules.

7. Coordinate physical resources; assign and supervise support staff; respond to problems related to distance learning as needed; and communicate with faculty, staff, and students regarding instructional stoppages or other areas of concern.

8. Participate in an on-going planning process that includes specific objectives, activities, and time frames; assist in the development of the distance learning annual budget; develop annual goals and action plans

Qualifications and Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree min required, Master’s degree preferred

2. 4+ years related online teaching/leadership experience.
