Aero Air a premier aviation company located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, in Hillsboro, OR, is seeking an experienced Human Resource (HR) Professional to join our team! This position requires one who is skilled at working independently, is extremely organized and enjoys working in a fun, fast pace, exciting environment where hard work is recognized and rewarded. This position is an on-site position that is hands on and reports directly to the General Manager.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all personnel, including posting on various staffing platforms, and assist with screening applicants and the scheduling of interviews.
  • Oversee, administer, and act as the Designated Employer Representative (DER) for the FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol program.
  • Conduct new-employee orientations and onboarding.
  • Maintain benefit administration including enrollments, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and annual re-evaluation of benefits while partnering with our dedicated insurance broker.
  • Maintain all HR related Compliance including but not limited to; EEO-1; 1094/1095C, Affirmative Action Plans and other records, reports, and logs as required.
  • Address employee relations investigations and administer counseling and exit interviews.
  • Develop, recommend, implement, and administer various HR plans and procedures for company personnel.
  • Maintain the company handbook.
  • Participate in the safety committee and maintain the OSHA log and Worker's Compensation Claims administration.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee all activities of the HR department.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Benefits plan development and administration experience required. (Experience with "self funded" benefit plans strongly preferred.)
  • Employment law experience required.
  • Knowledge of multi-state operations and planning specific to OR, WA, AK, CA preferred.
  • ADP experience preferred.
  • HR planning and development experience required.
  • Performance management experience required.
  • Employee Relations experience required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years' Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,230.00 - $105,000.00 per year
