Overview

The Director of Government Guaranteed Loan Operations directs and monitors the government guaranteed operations department for the credit union including the process, closing, funding, and servicing of government guaranteed loans to ensure adherence to SBA/USDA SOP’s as well as Credit Union Policies.

Overall Accountability:

· Direct and lead Government Guaranteed Loan Operations which includes loan processing, documentation, and servicing

· Performs various duties to support government guaranteed agency (SBA, USDA) compliance and ensures quality loan processing, closing, and servicing adhere to government agency guidelines

· Lead government guaranteed operations team to deliver a referrable member experience while maintaining compliance with all SOPs, related laws and regulations.

· Drive operational changes that create efficiencies, mitigate risk and improve accuracy in collaboration with the Government Guaranteed lending team

· Assist preparing for audits and regulatory examinations

· Collaborate with other Government Guaranteed department staff (LO/PM/UW) to create a smooth workflow and to ensure compliance with program standard

· Oversee/assist with SBA/USDA structure

· Oversee the Processing and Documentation process for Government Guaranteed loans to ensure compliance with Government Program and that COE’s are met

· Oversee government guaranteed loan servicing to ensure completion of tasks are accurate, timely, and in compliance with Government program

· Manage all boarding of new and renewed Government Guaranteed loans to core system based on approved loan write-ups, accurate borrower information, and complete loan documentation packages

· Assist GGLO team with review of complex third-party documentation of Leases, Trusts, Title Commitments, Settlement Statements, etc.

· Develops and maintains process, procedures, and training with Government Guaranteed Loan Operations team

· Responsible for all GGLO document review and compliance

· Maintains intimate working knowledge of all required SBA / USDA SOPs to ensure proper oversight and compliance of regulations

· Review/approve 1502 monthly reporting

· Review and audit Sageworks during process to ensure SLA’s are being met

· Review preliminary closing package prior to submitting to Government Guaranteed Loan Officers for sign off

· Maintains SBA/USDA Pipeline

· Manages GGLO team in completion of responsibilities

· Collaborate with Portfolio Manager to prepare necessary documents for post-closing loan modifications

· Attends various NAGGL conferences when required

· Provide timely and accurate communication to leadership concerning documentation and boarding errors, client service issues, compliance or SBA reporting irregularities, or any other matters that pose a risk to the credit union.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, 7-10 years’ experience in loan support systems. In-depth knowledge of commercial and SBA lending along with compliance and documentation regulations. Professional written, verbal communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to produce quality work within tight time frames while managing multiple assignments. Ability to work on core processing systems (JHA) and department specific processing systems (Sageworks / Laser Pro). Knowledge of Microsoft Office and JHA. Strong work ethic, the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing deadlines, advanced interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and the desire to work as a team to support the overall success of the credit union. Strong knowledge base about conventional, SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 loan programs, policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry certification

Physical Requirements:

· Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.

· Regularly required to stand or sit; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards.

· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and peripheral vision.

· The noise level in the work environment is quiet.

· Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $91,447.72 - $114,309.78 per year
