Job Description Summary:

The Director of Finance – Central Market position has been created to be responsible for the following:

Initial (Short/Medium Term) Work

Facilitate centralization of separate care site specific analysts into one team that serves all Central Ohio care sites (see list in below note)
Work with the two senior finance directors to develop plan to standardize recurring reporting to maximize efficiency and value
Determine optimal alignment of team across service line or functional area (nursing, surgery, etc.) to support care sites and benchmarking work
Develop process and approach for utilizing team to provide highest value support to the finance leadership resident at each care site

Ongoing Work

HR oversight of a centralized analyst team providing support to OhioHealth Central Ohio care sites), including management and development
Leadership and direction for recurring standard work of the analyst team, including, but not limited to:
Benchmarking work, productivity reporting, month end close analysis, monthly projection support, annual budget/financial planning support, capital planning, profitability reporting, management reporting
Collaboration with care site finance leaders to assess ad hoc project support and assign team members based on prioritization and any specialization
Collaborate with Senior Directors and VP to help set the strategic financial direction for the Central Market

Note – as of April 2023, the care sites included as part of the Central Market are:

Riverside Methodist Hospital, Grant Medical Center, Doctor’s Hospital, Dublin Methodist Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, Grove City Methodist Hospital, Pickerington Medical Center, Westerville Medical Center, Lewis Center Freestanding ED (FSED), Hilliard FSED, Powell FSED, New Albany FSED, Reynoldsburg FSED, Obetz FSED

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree (Required)CPA - Certified Public Accountant - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, MBA - MBA - State of Ohio

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Work requires the analytical skills necessary to solve extremely complex problems requiring the application of technical, mathematical, clinical or managerial principles, theories, and concepts and in depth, Experienced based knowledge. Work requires the communication skills necessary to prepare and present persuasive presentations in high stakes and high stress situations, represent the organization at the highest level, or other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skills. Work requires the establishment of goals, plans and policies for assigned responsibility areas subject only to top Management review. Broad latitude for decision making. Previous Experience in a hospital setting or healthcare related field.
