Director of Construction Management (Onsite)
Lima One is seeking a Director of Construction Management to support our growing product suite and origination volume. The Director of Construction Management has oversight of development, management, and operation of the construction risk management program. This individual will provide support to personnel on construction risk management SOPs, guidelines, and procedures.
Responsibilities
Working from the Lima One Capital headquarters in Greenville, SC, the Director of Construction Management will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our Construction Management department and deliverables ordered by Lima One Capital for its business transactions.
- Supervise all Construction risk management functions, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
- Lead the optimization of the construction risk management program.
- Scale and develop an efficient construction risk management program to optimize systems to automate and streamline workflows.
- Hire employees and handle personnel matters involving staff.
- Establish reporting to identify trends and provide recommendations to senior management regarding efficiency, productivity, and member experience.
- Evaluate and partner with vendors to provide critical services throughout the construction risk management process.
- Complete performance evaluations of staff.
- Identify gaps and improve efficiency within Construction risk management.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all applicable regulations and real estate market trends.
- Communicate with staff, members, builders, vendors and other parties involved in the construction lending process.
- Promote teamwork and a collaborative environment across departments Lima One Capital
Skills and Experience
- At least 10 years of construction risk management experience, 5 years in senior level leadership.
- Exceptional team management and development skills
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint Skills
- Experience building, scaling, and overseeing a new construction risk management program to develop and implement new products.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Data Analytics
- Demonstrable knowledge of modern appraisal concepts
- Ability to grasp new technology and computer applications quickly
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable working at a fast pace
- Knowledge of risk identification and mitigation
- Exceptional Customer Experience skills
- Secondary market or portfolio evaluation experience preferred
- Construction experience preferred
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
