The Director of Clinical Services for Orchard Place Child Guidance Center is responsible for overall clinical oversight and day-to-day management of the Child Guidance Center Outpatient Programs. The Director of Clinical Services will approach the work with a Trauma Informed Care, multi-occurring and strengths based perspective. The role necessitates an integrated approach both within the Child Guidance Center branch and across the organization, in order to provide the highest quality of service to clients.

As the Director of Clinical Services, you will:

  • Respect and value individual differences and actively support a culture that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Provide clinical leadership and direction for all outpatient programs. Will directly supervise the program supervisors and ensure all programs are in compliance with internal and external policies, guidelines and standards.
  • Provide case consultation as needed to supervisors and therapists.
  • Provide leadership to supervisors and staff in managing productivity in a positive and supportive manner to achieve billable expectations and attain budget goals.
  • Work with supervisors to identify appropriate responses and supports to address issues related to productivity.
  • Collaborate with the VP and human resources to support supervisor's efforts in areas of employee recruitment, retention and recognition of clinical staff. Will ensure orientation and training efforts meet employee, program and agency needs.
  • Provide fiscal operation and accountability for all outpatient programs, and, in partnership with the VP, responsible for determining and implementing the strategic vision so it remains effective and responsive to community needs.
  • Provide therapy services to small caseload of 1-3 clients and provide presentations to community stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of ethical awareness and practice in day to day work.

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited university in clinical field and independent licensure in Iowa.
  • Five years experience providing direct clinical services to children, youth and families
  • Five years of supervisor and administrative experience, post independent licensure.
  • Experience with diverse populations, and evidence stability, maturity and capability of working with and relating to emotionally disturbed children in an appropriate manner.
  • Capacity to relate to, supervise and direct staff for whom responsible.

Criminal and Abuse Registry checks completed. Must have valid driver's license.
