The Job

The Clinical/ Marketing Liaison act as a liaison between internal and external referral sources and with internal operations. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining long lasting relationship with physicians, case manager and other referral sources. They ensure appropriate patient placement through clinical screening assessment in conjunction with internal clinical leadership. Supports patient and referral sources through the referral process by educating, problem solving and building resources relationships with referral sources. Functions as a key source of market intelligence providing direct communications between the community, referral sources and the physicians to the Lakeside Health and Wellness Team. Collaborates with leadership, participating in planning organizing and executing the Business Development plan for the community to achieve budgeted census.

Key Desired Outcomes for this Role:

  • Establish, cultivate and maintain a rapport and ongoing channel for professional referrals.
  • Interface with physicians and their staff to improve communication and understanding of the needs and wants of the community.
  • Identify issues and concerns from referral sources and communicate them back to the community.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of recent healthcare experience in the SNF, Acute Care Hospital, rehabilitation setting, or home healthcare agency/ company required.
    • Prefer to have this experience in the current market and surrounding areas
  • Current, valid, and active driver’s license required
    • Ability to travel using publicity available air and ground transportation
    • The Clinical Liaison often severs as the face of the organization in the community and creates opportunities to promote the community’s branding and positive reputation in the form of promotional events, in-services, communications, and other educational opportunities.
    • Frequent day travel with reliable transportation and occasional overnight travel is required.
  • Loves interacting with people daily
  • Has a knack for establishing, maintaining, and cultivating professional relationships with referral sources
  • Marketing/sales skill expertise in the market preferred.
  • Previous clinical screening experience is a must along with working experience of local medical community is needed.
  • Requires a professional level of knowledge in physician relations and interfacing with case managers & insurance companies.
  • Extensive knowledge of local provider and medical communities. Ability to be available for occasional evenings for marketing events, weekend coverage, and routine day travel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with medical and administrative staffs as well as patients and families, in an assertive, professional manner.
  • Self-motivated, extroverted, and enthusiastic individual who is self-directed.
  • Ability to complete necessary reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency for goal achievement with a strong commitment to results.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
