Overview and Responsibilities
The Director of Accounting will work across the Paramount Global Controllership organization, collaborating with production finance, divisional subject matter authorities and external consultants to support the configuration and development of the project's module in SAP/S4 Hana for use in accounting and financial content cost analytics reports. Longer term, this position will work with the content accounting group within the Global Controller’s organization.
Gain knowledge of current and future accounting and reporting system framework across Paramount Global
Gain understanding of SAP/S-4 projects module, including use of MPM titles and WBS elements for film/television and associated expense projects, including project settlement accounting mechanics
Ensure the design of future state enterprise framework meets all accounting requirements through review and sign off on system configurations, functional design specifications and functional unit and integration testing
Partner with SOX Compliance team to establish controls and review procedures over information sourced from non-financial systems
Partner with the Global Accounting Operations team and programming cost Centers of Expertise
Participate in development of content costs cash spending reporting and analysis
Assist in the transformation of content accounting business processes as we integrate into Paramount Global single chart of accounts and common systems and processes, drive process and system efficiencies, coordinate with financial systems management to ensure stability of ERP system, and support change management activities
Help overall goals of the Controller’s Organization and broader Finance function under CFO

Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, a focus on Accounting or Finance preferred
7+ years related work experience

Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, concepts and processes
Timely and efficient approach to preparing deliverables
Motivational leader with excellent interpersonal skills!
Project experience, including ability to come up to speed quickly on in-flight projects
Ability to positively contribute to the culture of the team, including an intentional approach to upholding Paramount Global values in diversity, equity, and inclusion
Ability to translate “big picture” vision and long-term outlook into clear objectives and action plans
Plus: Previous Big Four experience, CPA (or equivalent), experience in SAP S-4/Hana and/or Oracle a strong plus
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $124,000.00 - 190,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
