*Only applies for the time frame: Friday at 3:00 pm to Monday at 9:00 am

*Must have current TCI or SCIP training certificate and CPR.

New Community Services Hires must already have SCIP and CPR training certificates. New hires must also complete ALL Vanderheyden required trainings, and have a current Fit for Duty physical on file. OPWDD program also require 2-step PPD testing.

Vanderheyden is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for full-time or part-time or per diem in our Community Services programs. The DSP is responsible for maintaining an environment of care that is safe & therapeutic, providing direct care to individuals per agency policy, implementing appropriate supervision according to daily schedules, dispensing medication per agency policy, and safely transporting individuals as assigned per level of supervision required.

Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
  • Valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to perform restraints and maintain TCI or SCIP certification
