At Beanstalk Childcare Academy, our HCBS program provides children and families with much
needed relief. We provide exceptional childcare services to families who need a break. They just
“drop off their child” and we take care of the rest.
What we are looking for Direct Support Professional
We are seeking dependable, enthusiastic, creative, flexible, and supportive childcare
providers.
Someone who values diversity and can create a warm and welcoming environment for
our children.
Someone who is able connect with children and families and are committed to helping
children develop.
Direct Support Professional incorporate social skills training with fun and exciting
activities!
As a Direct Support Professional in our program, you will provide support for individuals
in a 1:1 or group setting as they partake in various scheduled activities and trips.
Support can be provided in the home of the child/youth, a community setting, or in our
childcare facilities
Qualifications:
Direct Support Professional are minimally required to have a high school diploma or
equivalent and with appropriate skills and training.
Experience working with children/youth.
Has a strong sensitivity to cultural differences present among staff and members within
our organization.
Possess a strong belief in people’s ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful
partnership with persons served and their families.
Has the skills to set limits while maintaining the helping role; and can intervene when
needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bronx, NY 10465: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
