Position: Part-time Floater (all shifts/flexible scheduling)
Location: Mancelona, Michigan
Wage: $15.60 per hour ($13.25 base pay + $2.35 non-positive COVID pay while working with consumers)

We are offering a sign on Bonus from May 2023 to Sept 2023: Full time employees will receive $70 for every month worked between May 2023 to Sept 2023 (=$350.) Part time employees will receive $35 for every month worked between May 2023 to Sept 2023 (=$175.)

We are seeking Direct Care and In-Home Help Workers at Listening Ear. If you want to impact the life of someone that will appreciate your talents and time this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

• Provide care and support to consumers on a 24/7 basis.
• Daily supervision and support in all activities of daily living, including preparing meals, assisting with eating meals, personal care, bathing, dressing, restroom assistance, transferring, transporting to daily activities and medical appointments.
• Capable of handling emergency situations, including physical intervention, if needed.
• Promote a culture of gentleness/trauma informed care.
• Develop a mutually respectful partnership with consumers and families, where they can gain skills and confidence to grow and change.
• Be an advocate for all consumers.

Requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years old to be considered for the position.
• No prior experience necessary
• Good physical health (regular lifting of 50lbs)
• Must pass all necessary training exams required (provided by Listening Ear)
• Michigan Driver’s License
