CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $15-$17/hr

GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Dining Room Attendant has a broad array of responsibilities related to the successful dining room, event and customer service functions involving food service campus wide.
Support the Dining & Banquet Manager to monitor the flow & maintain the excellent level of service being provided by the staff in the dining room during meal times. Serve the line, maintain par levels for salad and breakfast bars, monitor tables, clear/clean tables and dining room/porch/patio. Assist in the preparation and delivery of setups as needed.

KNOW HOW:
The dining room attendant must possess strong organizational skills, have the ability to multi-task, understand customer service principles, and practice strong leadership skills.
Work experience related to customer service required. Sound verbal, writing, and mathematic skills. Basic working knowledge of computers. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to fulfill the best customer service.
Work experience skills required include use of direct customer service skills, and working with a team.
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:
  • Working closely with Conference & Program Services and the Kitchen to execute catered functions both on and off premise.
  • Executing Dining room procedures and customer service, along with needed to skills for special functions/banquets.
  • Support of Dining Room team.
  • Assistance in general cleaning and maintenance of the Dining Hall, Porch, Patio, and Serving Area.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our guests.
  • Being a member of a TEAM focused workplace and maintains a high-spirited attitude to keep the moral of the staff up.
  • Participate and promote all Silver Bay Association special events and fund-raising activities.
  • Report all accidents and incidents involving self, participants, guests and other employees.
  • Maintaining good personal hygiene and personal sanitation.
END RESULT:
The satisfactory performance of the Banquet server/ CSU will result in the sound administration of the food service through the demonstration of safe, purposeful, well coordinated, high quality food service and great community relations. Effective supervision, and training of staff and volunteers, which results in a dynamic staff team. Leading a team that is focused on consistently providing excellent customer service to our guests, and staff while using YMCA core values.
