Diesel Mechanic Technician Job at Sonora Diesel
A Diesel Mechanic, or Diesel Service Technician, inspects, diagnoses and repairs diesel-powered vehicles and machines, like trucks, forklifts and trailers. Their main duties include running diagnostic tests on vehicles, replacing the vehicles’ engine, transmission, steering mechanism or braking system and test driving the vehicle to determine if they properly fixed the maintenance issue.
Responsibilities:
- Operate diagnostic equipment.
- Remove and install engine components, such as pumps and injectors.
- Make repairs to components such as radiators and transmissions using hand tools, grinder, cutting torch, and welder.
- Work in a clean environment.
- Select proper tools for the job to be done.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
