Job Description:
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, to serve as the UAB liaison with Department of Human Resources (DHR) and Medicaid offices. To assist patient/family/caregiver(s)/DHR caseworker/guardian/conservator with any/all activities related to the DHR case investigation and/or Medicaid application process. To respond to the unique needs of all patient ages newborn through geriatric.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nursing or a healthcare related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Experience with the legal process for guardian/conservatorship AND/OR experience with working with the rules and regulations governing Medicaid programs AND/OR experience with the DHR case investigation process preferred. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
