This role is for an experienced SAP ECC/EWM ABAP Developer for the eCommerce Fulfillment team. The Developer designs, configures, develops, tests EWM extensions, SAP interfaces to non-SAP systems, Material Handling equipment and user interfaces for tools such as web, RF, mobile, etc. This is for the development and support of the Costco eCommerce Fulfillment SAP Extended Warehouse Management Systems (EWM). The Developer will work with the development community of peers and be able to communicate effectively with extended team members.

ROLE

Develops or prototypes software modules at various levels of complexity, including but not limited to: service interfaces, process flows, service messages, SOA components, business logic, UI/UX, or data access logic.

Adopts and adapts to newly approved technologies, programming languages, tools, and standards.

Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, including the ability to estimate work needed.

Assesses functional and nonfunctional requirements and creates designs to meet both business and technical needs.

Creates conceptual and detailed technical design documents.

Provides implementation expertise contributing to rollback, post install, data migration, and other artifacts as required including creation of support plans.

Adheres to security management practices and promotes established security standards.

Identifies and resolves problems, often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow, develops and evaluates options, and implements solutions.

Designs and develops extensions, data interfaces and user interfaces on the SAP EWM platform.

Creates and executes unit test scripts to ensure the development objects provide accurate results and meet the requirements of the business.

Provides application support including analysis, development, testing, tracking and resolution.

Interfaces with other developers to ensure that systems are designed for reliability, performance and testability.

Mentors less experienced team members on SAP programming concepts and tool suite.

Participates in team activities and team planning in regards to improving team skills, awareness and quality of work.

REQUIRED

3+ years’ ABAP development experience on EWM and/or ECC.

Strong technical background coupled with in-depth experience developing ABAP and Object Oriented ABAP applications on an SAP NetWeaver platform.

Experienced in SAP Enhancement Framework (BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits).

Knowledge of web service interactions via SOA Manager.

Strong conceptual, analytical, problem solving, trouble shooting and resolution skills with an emphasis on Advanced ABAP debugger skills to support quick turnaround of analysis and issue resolution.

One or more full project life cycle SAP implementations.

Experienced with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Open minded, quick learner, out-of-box thinking, able to solve problems in a complex system.

Demonstrates a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization.

Demonstrates a high level of communication skills, verbal and written.

Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and exhibit a strong sense of urgency.

Good understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures and standards.

Ability to effectively lead and mentor less experienced team members on SAP programming and testing techniques.

Team player, good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Creative and enjoys challenges.

Performs 24x7 on-call support as scheduled or as needed. Available to work nights and weekends when necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Available to travel occasionally and for onsite deployments, as needed.

Recommended

Solid understanding of the SAP EWM RF framework and RF configuration.

Solid understanding of the SAP EWM PPF framework and PPF configuration.

Knowledge of enterprise-level applications including ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems.

General understanding of eCommerce Fulfillment operations and processes.

RFC development (qRFC, tRFC).

Team leadership and role-model.

Experience with other SAP partner applications and integrations to SAP (e.g. Pyramid Director, ProcessWeaver). Experience working in Agile software delivery methodologies.

Pay Ranges:

Level 3 - $125,000 - $160,000

Level 4 - $150,000 - $180,000
