Desktop Support Technician - Animal Lab, Westwood Job at UCLA Health
In this role, you will provide technical guidance, user support, for DLAM, working with all areas of distributed computing technologies and system administration as well as providing testing and production support. Under general supervision incumbent exercises initiative and judgment in completion of assigned tasks in consultation with the PA IV. Direct supervisor is DLAM's PA IV. Salary range: $22.94 - $36.54
Required: 1. Ability to analyze information,problems, and procedures to define problems and formulate viable alternatives. 2. Demonstrated knowledge of and skillin detailed technical analysis. 3. Working knowledge of networkadministration, desktop, and Windows Server technology. 4. Demonstrated skill as a strongproblem solver and commitment to continuous learning. 5. Ability to work independently on aself-directed basis prioritizing and organizing fluctuating workload. 6. Demonstrated skill in speakingclearly and distinctly to provide training for group presentations or on a one-to-one basisto individuals at various organizational levels. 7. Ability to establish and maintaincooperative working relationships with DLAM staff, vendors, principal investigators, and otherdepartment and campus members. 9. Demonstrated IT project managementskills including initial user needs assessment, systems analysis, testing of solutions andmaintenance. 10. Excellent customer service skillsexhibiting patience, good listening skills, and a helpful attitude. 11. Knowledge of distributedtechnologies, application design and development, database development/administration, systemadministration, and testing and production support. 12. Provide support for following OS:Windows 10 and 11, Mac / iOS, Android OS 13. Installation and support of MSOffice Suite version 2016 on Windows and Mac OS. Assist Staff with O365 authenticationand use.
