Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Manages and organizes commercial food service kitchen and facility design. Elaborates on our technical capabilities in sales presentations as well as provides process, alternative solutions, layout and equipment recommendations. Handles technical difficulties to ensure solid project outcome and blends the operational and aesthetic needs of the client with their budget and scope of work. Maintains current understanding of municipal codes and practical application.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Collaborate on commercial kitchen projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents, and management of budgets and schedules.
  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents.
  • Provide extensive design development at a schematic level using 3D Revit model.
  • Participate in selection of kitchen systems and specifications; specify preferred vendors wherever possible.
  • Create and present schematic design presentations to customers.
  • Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
  • Review Construction documents and coordinate any required revisions with outside consultants.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and post construction punch list meetings.
  • Work with consultants, equipment manufacturers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.
  • Prioritize and communicate project schedules and design objectives.
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
  • Collaborate with Sales Rep, Project Managers and General Contractors to ensure that projects are completed accurately, within budget and on time.
  • Participate with Sales in business development and marketing efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

External Qualifications :

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and 2+ years of relevant design experience OR equivalent combination of education and applicable experience. Ability to read blueprints and other construction documents. Revit experience. CAD design experience with substantial experience in Building Information Models (BIM) and construction documents using various BIM related software Advanced conceptual, creative and sketching skills as well as aesthetic sensitivity.. Ability to manage project effectively and efficiently. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Strong analytical, organizational skills and the ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize and work independently. Excellent communication, and time management skills.
