Delivery Driver - Anchorage Job at Bailey's Furniture
Job Summary: Completes shipments by processing and loading orders. Drives a company vehicle for the purpose of transporting goods to or from warehouses or stores.
Job Duties: Responsible for moving, stocking, receiving, and packing outbound warehouse merchandise. Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts. Operates warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks. Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations. Inspects the vehicle pre-and post-trip. Monitors the maintenance and repair of the vehicle. Assists with or oversees loading and
unloading of goods. Maintains logs recording cargo transported, arrival and departure times, and miles traveled. May prepare
invoices or collect payments or proof of delivery.
Experience and Education: Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter. Typically requires a high school diploma and 0 to 2 years of experience.
Reports to: Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Competencies: Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to lift/move heavy objects. Time management skills.
