A typical day looks like:

  • Hours from 12:00-6:00 PM or 3:00-6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a .5-hour paid break daily. Some flexibility with hours if needed!
  • Assisting the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing activities that meet the children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate program in accordance with all relevant childcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Establish positive relationships and communicate effectively with children, staff, administration, parents, and members of the community.
  • Conduct light cleaning duties such as gathering trash, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, sanitizing toys and table tops, and other general duties.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Experience with children or in childcare preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, hold, or carry up to 35 pounds and routinely move furniture and equipment.
  • Infant and Child CPR/First Aid certificate preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to be flexible with classroom assignment and work hours.
  • A friendly, outgoing, positive personality is a MUST!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
