In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Provide maintenance support for Oracle Databas6es and SQL Server Databases in production and Non Production Environments on Windows and Linux Platforms
  • Provide maintenance support for Enterprise Data Warehouse and ODS implemented using SSIS, SSAS and SQL Server 2008 on Windows 2008 Server
  • Design and implement HA/DR solutions using Oracle RAC and MSSQL AlwaysOn technology
  • Apply database patches to keep them current in production and non-production environments
  • Upgrade databases to newer versions as required
  • Identify and resolve database performance
  • Tune/Review PLSQL and T-SQL Scripts
  • Provide data dumps from Oracle database as required
  • Create data updates in production and non production environments as required
  • Refresh data in non production databases from production database and mask/scramble sensitive data
  • Implement new strategies and tools to improve database reliability and security
  • Support deployment of critical database scripts as required
  • Manage Enterprise data model and review changes required for supporting new functionality
  • Establish and maintain relational database backup and recovery processes
  • Upgrade Oracle Application server to newer versions as required
  • Tune Oracle Application server to ensure optimum performance
  • Maintain 99% Uptime for Oracle Clusters in production
  • Partner with Business Analysts, Developers, and QA team
  • Deliver strategic projects assigned by Director of Software Development
  • Responsible for following company’s software development process which includes but not limited to the automation of key requirements gathered from internal users, providers and key partners that meet defined specs with proper documentation
  • Document Oracle Database, SQL Server Database, Data Warehouse and Oracle Application Server related changes, deployment guides, standards, designs, tasks, etc. as required
  • Debug and resolve any production and non production issues related to databases or Oracle Application Server in a timely fashion
  • Work with vendors like Oracle and Microsoft to escalate and resolve issues as required
  • Document design, deployment guide and release notes for Oracle Forms and Reports application changes
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Ideally you will have:

  • Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies as required
  • Proficient with SDLC processes
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and familiarity of DevOps (preferred)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and ability to adapt to change
  • Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server Clusters and databases (2000, 2003, 2008)
  • Experience in writing automation powershell scripts or similar programming languages
  • Experience in Database administration of Oracle Database, version 12C or higher
  • Experience in Modeling Logical and Physical databases
  • Experience in developing database objects including stored procedures and triggers in PL-SQL and T-SQL
  • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation

Pay and Benefits

Annual Salary: $93,000.00-$114,00.00
