Job Summary:
As a Data Warehouse Developer, you will be responsible for the development and support of the data warehouse. This role works with data analytics and data science teams to develop and implement an enterprise data warehouse to produce valuable insight to the business.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Work with the business to understand and identify requirements
- Work with the data analytics team, and the data science team to deliver solutions for the business
- Develop warehouse facts and dimensions following Kimball principals of dimensional modeling
- Create and maintain the mappings of source system data to data warehouse tables
- Develop the ETL processes to efficiently stage source data
- Develop and perform tests to validate all data
- Design and implement data management practices, standards, and procedures
- Oversee ongoing data warehouse and ETL production support and related jobs
- Provide estimate of effort required to design and develop solutions
- Communicate and coordinate data warehouse and ETL project status updates
- Follow best practices for the data warehouse SDLC
- Follow the internal change management/version control policies and participate in peer code reviews
- Remain current on changing and emerging technologies within the data warehousing and ETL spaces
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Power BI or other analytic reporting tools
- Git source control experience
- Google Cloud Platform or Apache Airflow
- Python
Working Conditions:
- Minimal degree of travel.
