Job Summary

Responsible for supporting sales/commercial success by providing data, analysis and problem solving. This position partners with the senior leadership team of Walman Optical division on sales and operational analysis, creating visibility to data and metrics to support accountability. This position will demonstrate the curiosity and aptitude to master multiple systems to provide data analytics, evaluate trends, and develop recommendations.

Duties

  • Responsible for supporting commercial efforts by providing data, creating visual story through data, and developing and presenting the metrics for accountability.
  • Responsible for the coordination and execution of the annual budget. Partner with senior leadership to develop assumptions regarding P&L expectations and relevant KPIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and executive team, provide on-going data analytic support for product costing/pricing, special projects, and preparation of presentations to senior leadership.
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis and commentary of the divisional and regional financial statements.
  • Maintain scorecards containing key metrics, financial information and recommendations for all areas across the division and at a regional level.
  • Responsible for tracking marketing promotions and initiatives and delivering timely reporting on results.
  • Produce customer level reports on performance to goals, product usage and promotions and deliver to leadership and field team.
  • Works with management to identify and develop enhanced reporting. Evaluates current reporting tools and processes. Recommends alternative methods and tools to management. Incorporates new tools and processes into existing environment. Trains impacted users.
  • Maintains internal quality controls, policies, and procedures related to sales forecasting and business planning.
  • Maintains work area in a neat, clean, and organized condition.
  • Understands and follows all company and manufacturer s policies and procedures and assures compliance of all attendance & safety rules and regulations. Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and HIPAA protected information.
  • Willingly assists others as necessary to keep work current, meet deadlines or maintain even workload. Cooperates with other coworkers and demonstrates a good attitude. Performs an acceptable quantity and quality of work on time as required.
  • Provides proper training, work direction, and technical guidance for less experienced coworkers. Attends in-house or Walman sponsored training meetings when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree (B.A. / B.S.) required, in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business or a related field.
  • 4+ years of business analytics within sales, business intelligence
  • Financial, pricing/margin and operational analysis, budgeting, forecasting and general business acumen. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Team oriented player with the ability to effectively work and communicate with multi-functional groups both within and outside the company to drive strategic objectives.
  • Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data and synthesize into actionable, summary-level information and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to be curious to solve problems with data, see trends in data to support commercial sales efforts, and skilled to present data in easily understood and actionable recommendations
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data visualization/reporting tools. Experience with large ERP systems. Experience with SQL type database, Power BI, Oracle/JD Edwards, Tableau, CRM (Salesforce preferred), DVI/production software preferred.
