Powell Electro Systems, a privately held contract manufacturer of Wire and Cable Assemblies and Tubing Assemblies, is seeking a full-time Customer Service Coordinator.

The Customer Service Coordinator is responsible for engaging with customers on behalf of the company. Duties include providing outstanding responses to customer inquiries and complaints, developing effective customer service procedures, setting satisfaction goals, and processing orders. To ensure success, the Customer Service Coordinator should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and promote the company’s vision.

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 3+ years (Preferred)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processing customer orders and requests
  • Answering phone calls or emails from customers to answer questions.
  • Handle customer complaints and manage the customer complaint process.
  • Creating effective customer service procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Developing customer satisfaction goals.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documenting customer service activities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
  • Ensure achievable lead times on new orders.
  • Responding to customer service inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Providing sales support and superior customer service to existing customers
  • Enter and maintain change orders for documentation control.
  • Monitor open sales orders and communicate updated delivery dates.
  • Notify certain customers of shipments and send the required documentation.
  • Work with the operational management team to update customers on delivery issues.
  • Entering new quotation requests into the system and managing their progress.
  • Assist Material Manger in inventory and purchasing functions.
  • Other office duties as needed.

Customer Service Coordinator Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a customer service position.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay calm when customers are stressed or upset.
  • Superb work ethic and a growth mindset.
  • Versatile and service-oriented mindset.

Skills:

  • Ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Proficient in Windows PC applications, MS Office Suite; Excel, Word
  • Proficient in Data Entry
  • Ability to learn new software. (Sage 50, MISys Manufacturing, and QCBD)
  • Previous CRM experience desirable
  • Ability to read basic engineering drawings.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (Flex Schedule – 40-hour workweek)
  • Overtime on an as-needed basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
