Posting Summary
Serve as the OnCore and Data Services Manager for the implementation of the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), OnCore, and all other contracted Advarra Research Applications and all wrap-around data management activities associated with the Cancer Clinical Trials Office (CTO) research portfolio. The primary link between the OnCore oncology clinical trials research users, technical support personnel, and the policymakers. Manages user support to all clinical trials research and administrative staff of the UVM Cancer Center (UVMCC) including observational research involving human subjects. Develop and provide OnCore user-oriented training and documentation. Work closely with Larner College of Medicine (LCOM) and UVM Health Network (UVMNH) Information Technology (IT) departments. Responsible for initial system implementation and associated cancer-relevant training. Co-manage implementation of the application database including initial connectivity with EPIC, UVMClick, and other associated UVMHN and UVM platforms. Responsible for training multiple cross-functional teams. Oversee system upgrades with EPIC, UVMClick, and Oncore. Coordinates on-site evaluation of new upgrades in the live and test environments . Provide IT-specific feedback to developers regarding the new functionality. Train users and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to utilize new functionality included in the upgrades. Work with users to identify needs for standard reports and obtain custom reports. Develop reports and work with staff to implement them into workflows. Oversee cancer clinical trial-related data management personnel. Serve as a primary liaison for vendor relations, negotiations, and contracts.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years’ related experience required. Comprehensive knowledge of computer relational databases and experience with Oracle db and APEX. Experience with common database applications and mastery of SQL development tools; substantial experience with report writing and data visualization tools (JaspeReports, Tableau). Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) required. Experience with clinical research field applications, including IRB and clinical research life-cycle required. Proven project management experience required. Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical issues to non-technical users and generate quality documentation required.

Desirable Qualifications
Experience with Cancer Clinical Trials operations, data management, National Cancer Institute (NCI) required reporting, OnCore CTMS and EPIC experience preferred.Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with minimum direction. Ability to establish effective, ongoing relationships with clients, staff, and management. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work under pressure in high-stress situations.
