Job: Crew Leader – Construction Trades

Job description: This role will be instrumental in helping us train our crew members to meet or exceed the expectations set for by the state and our construction documents. Lead crew in area of focus (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, paint) by; training, supervising, and working alongside crew members in our production construction ProCon environment. Crew Leader’s will be responsible for but not limited to: training other Crew members on critical production steps along with Inspecting work progress, equipment, or construction documents to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met. Including read specifications, such as Revit drawings, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures to completion. This is a day shift only role within a 4-day work week; Monday-Thursday.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach, coordinate, and lead crew in work process and activities in a production environment.
  • Assign work to employees, based on material or worker abilities of specific tasks.
  • Coordinate work activities with other production construction crew members and crew leads.
  • Evaluate projects to determine compliance with technical specifications.
  • Inspect equipment or tools to be used in construction, monitor, and ensure proper safety protocols are in place and being followed.
  • Provide plant manager with regular updates regarding crew member attendance, performance, and crew production construction KPI’s.
  • Assist in crew member recruitment and interview process by engaging with candidates on the production floor.
  • Support new crew member onboarding, on the job training, by ensuring all production construction methods are demonstrated successfully.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Crew Leader should have the following skills, education, and experience:

  • Positive outlook and approaches problems, obstacles in solutions orientate manor.
  • Associates in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, paint or construction related field trade and 5 years of experience OR 7+ years of practical work experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience working as a lead, mentor, or supervisor
  • Certified in Lean or 6S in a manufacturing environment.
