Position Summary

The Crew Lead will work with a solar installation team to install high quality arrays at residential customer homes safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, people, and communication skills while leading, guiding, and mentoring the team on the projects.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid state driver's license
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Background check required
  • Installation experience: 1 year preferred
  • Residential construction experience
  • Electrical knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
  • Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Solar Installation Team on residential projects
  • Supervise and mentor on-site team members
  • Responsible for organizing and training team members to complete projects efficiently and in a high-quality manner while maintaining high levels of safety
  • Installation of solar PV systems including electrical to MSP
  • Inspecting all projects
  • Responsible for commissioning jobs
  • Responsible for assessing the team’s functionality
  • Responsible for all inventory pertaining to jobs and job sites
  • Responsible for job site safety meetings
  • Responsible for pre installation checklist
  • Responsible for ensuring all equipment and tools are available for installs
  • Ability to repeatedly climb ladders and stairs carrying/lifting 50-75 lbs. as well as work on rooftops comfortably
  • Always maintain a professional appearance
  • Communicate professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service in answering all questions and concerns to the best of your ability
  • Assemble all components of residential solar systems
  • Perform trenching and concrete work
  • Structurally mount racking and electrical equipment and effectively seal all penetrations
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety meetings
  • In addition, you may be given other assignments necessitated by the business needs of the Company.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work on residential rooftops, and able to work on your feet 8 hrs + daily
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout the assigned workday
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
