Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Credit Risk Professional for its Johnston, RI location.



Duties: Develop and execute statistical and mathematical models and various risk strategies for the Consumer & Commercial Bank as a member of the Credit Risk team. Develop and code automated process to collect, clean, and combine large datasets from multiple sources. Utilize an analytical framework that ensures accurate loss forecasts. Perform sophisticated risk analyses on historical data to identify trends and make business recommendations, support management activities around forecasting concerning risk factors such as losses, delinquencies, prepays and other related risk events. Apply statistical tests, implement machine learning algorithms and insights developed with industry standard data mining frameworks. Undertake data preparation, storage, and retrieval, relational databases, data mining and classification analysis. Solve business-related problems through in depth analysis across the credit risk management life cycle (Targeting, Underwriting, and Account Management). Analyze data to prove hypothesis and make recommendations for improvement. . Develop KPI metrics dashboard to provide the management with proactive analysis on model, economic and management risk factors. Perform analysis of credit trends, making change recommendations and supporting projects that cover all aspects of risk management. Apply analytical rigor to price deals for complex product structures.



Requirements: Must have a Master’s Degree in Business Analytics or related field, and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. Must possess the following experience gained either through industry experience or graduate level academic studies: Development and utilization of machine learning algorithms for classification, regression, decision trees, clustering, random forests, gradient boosted, and dimensionality reduction; Utilizing advanced statistical and modeling techniques, including outlier detection, forecasting, classification, and clustering; Utilizing data science methods to build analytic solutions to strategic business problems; Analyzing data to prove a hypothesis and make recommendations for improvement; Building and executing models and performing statistical analysis utilizing computer programming languages, including SAS, R, and Python; Managing projects using proven methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile; Writing complex SQL queries in large and complex relational databases; Developing data-driven applications and data warehousing using RDBMS and SQL; Deep understanding of big data platform technologies, including Hadoop, Hive, and Spark; Handling large volumes of data using Python and VBA scripting; Building applications using SQL queries to extract data from databases, perform validations, update records, and build periodic reports; and Building automated and scalable reporting dashboards in Tableau, Excel, SAS, and R for management decision making.
