The Credit Analyst for Leica Biosystems is responsible for evaluating new and existing customer’s credit risk and helps determine the credit limit for customers.

This position is part of the Finance department located in Deer Park, Illinois and will be hybrid. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Finance team and report to the Senior Manager, Cash Collections responsible for utilizing business and reporting systems to identify customer payment trends and potential bad debt and identifies the root cause of payment issues and takes appropriate action to turn receivables into cash. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Evaluate credit risk and determine credit limits for new customers as well as review existing customers’ credit history and determine if changes to credit limit are needed.

  • Help with cash collection responsibilities, as needed, especially around credit holds of customers who are close or exceeding their credit limit.

  • Promptly escalate problem accounts to senior management for additional action.

  • Prepare ad-hoc and routine reports.

  • Communicate regularly with peers, customers, and other internal associates both written and verbally.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 2 + years of related credit analyst experience

  • Proficient in computer system-based tools including SAP, Microsoft Office applications, presentation, e-mail, web browsers and spreadsheet software.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Associate degree in a related field (i.e. Accounting, Mathematics, Finance).

  • Experience in a healthcare or medical field.
